In response to my previous journal challenge, here are my featured works from
WolfixZythos:
Monologue: WaitingI'll say this to begin: I don't like monologues. They come off as fake and surreal, usually more like award show scripted banter than a private conversation with oneself. I really love this piece though. It has all the tones of sincerity and realism that would seem like someone reading out of their own journal. No fancy witticism, no tired sighs and ahhs that made me turn my back on monologues before. Although this is a short piece, it has real and raw emotion.
The ChimeThis piece is simple and clean. It is the subtle details, the texture of the glass and the water droplet hanging on it, that pull you in and make you stare at it for long periods at a time. A wonderful capture of the organic and industrial, with colors of soft green and blue greys that work beautifully together. A candid photo that could not have been executed better if it had been carefully painted.
Boy on the BeachYou could write volumes on the existential imagery in this picture. The high contrast on the sand and water is just part of what makes this photo striking. I'll just say I have a love for nature and solitude and this sums it up nicely. The edges of foliage, the footprints in the sand, the waves; this is a layered cake of natural beauty.
