For the #Bento-Love Miyazaki contest! I'm such a fangirl of Spirited Away I just had to obsess over my favorite characters.

LEFT: bridge to the bathhouse (butternut squash), purple fumi slaw running under the bridge, chicken wings, dried persimmon and apple slices, container (made from folded rice paper) of sweet/spicy almonds.

RIGHT: Chihiro (one whole carved jicama, rice noodle clothes/hair, nori details), Haku (one whole steamed sweetcake, coconut/honey feathering, pear legs/details), rainbow tapioca pearls.

This was also the first time I tried taking some WIP photos while I made my bento. It ended up being way more of a hassle than I expected but I'm glad to be able to post some pics (maybe tutorials?) later, since it was a neat process making my own sweetcake mold for Haku and the rice paper container.
