Koi Bento by mindfire3927 Koi Bento by mindfire3927
It always figures that when I'm really missing making bentos, there's nothing in the fridge.

I'd been thinking about trying rice paper scales for a while and I was finally crazy enough able to get a chance to do it. Very happy with how they turned out, even though I wish I'd done strips with rounded cuts instead of jagged but oh well :P

Top: Koi (rice, rice paper+food color, tapioca/nori eyes) swimming in water (somen)

Bottom: dried apple slices, sweet peas, roasted chicken, cookies.

I have a character that would hug you for this, but since he's a bit of a scary demon you may not want to be hugged by him. :D These are my crazy ideas, demon with a koi fascination.
I wish I coulda ate this.
